Living The Dream of Dr. King

Teri and I are very proud to be owners of Pink Door Decor. The makings of the company epitomizes
Dr. King's Dream, especially in the south. We are two Georgia women (I'm a native Atlantan and Teri has been in Georgia long enough to call it home) who sit around a table planning together in a sisterhood of entrepreneurship.

Pink Door Decor is more than an online home accessories boutique. The company is rooted in a dream that we hope will change how some people still view the south. If you look up the symbolic meaning of the ivy, you will find several for the plant. Teri and I chose the ivy as part of our logo to represent growth. In honor of Dr. King, I would like to take a look at another symbolic meaning of the ivy...union.

Tomorrow, as we celebrate Dr. King's Birthday, let's stand united in eternal strength as the ivy, working together, making America a better place for our children.

Happy Birthday Dr. King!
