Customer Shows Us Her Room!

Teri and I love when we get feedback from our customers on items they have purchased from Pink Door Decor.  What we love even better than comments are pictures and comments. One of our customers Sue, sent in pictures of her Vintage Sack Ottomans she purchased from our online boutique. She said, "Everyone Loves the Ottomans."
Take a peek inside Sue's family room!

If you have pictures you would like to share with us, please send them to: customercare@pinkdoordecor.com.

We would also like your comments on our blogs.  This is pretty easy to do.  Go to the front page of the blog and click on comments.  Scroll down the menu bar until you see an account that you have or just click on anonymous.

What's Better, Live or Silk Plants?

Sun Star Water Garden

Clients are always asking whether they should use live or silk plants to create natural "outdoor-in" effects for their home. Combining both natural and silk plants will save you time and money and still give you a great look. The problem with some silk plants is the quality of the silk. There are companies who pride themselves in creating silk plants that make you do a double take with your eyes.

If you love having a fresh looking bouquet, but don't want to spend the money weekly buying fresh flowers, buy a good quality silk for each season. You will save a bundle!  Spray them with a good silk plant cleaner and put them away until the next season.

Pink Door Decor has a nice selection of silk plants, flowers  and topiaries that will make your guest do a double take. Take a peek at our collection and give us your feed back.

Designer Terrell Dinkins used silk flowers for a seasonal effect in this client's home.

Beautiful silk topiaries found on Pink Door Decor adds just enough color to this natural room.

Beautiful White, Beautiful Botanicals, Beautiful Everything.

When a room is washed in white and accented with shades of cream fabric you can say that's a start to brightening up a space.  Next, showcase large window's that scream natural light, incorporate mirrored tables, wall mirrors and a touch of green.  Before you know it you've created a chic city scene that will seem like a serene oasis.

Wood and Metal, Fabulous Combination

Have you ever entered a room and there was too much wood? For example, there was wood furniture, wood beams and wood walls!  You knew the space needed to be toned down, but you couldn't quite figure out how.

If you have ever studied Feng Shui elements, you would discover one way to tone down wood is to cut it or combine it with metal. The two elements work well together.

Pink Door Decor just added a beautiful wood/metal collection under their What's New Section.
These pieces can be added to a vintage look or a room painted white. Now, that would be a hot look!

We would love to get your feedback on this collection! Tell us what you think. Comment on our Facebook page.

Living The Dream of Dr. King

Teri and I are very proud to be owners of Pink Door Decor. The makings of the company epitomizes
Dr. King's Dream, especially in the south. We are two Georgia women (I'm a native Atlantan and Teri has been in Georgia long enough to call it home) who sit around a table planning together in a sisterhood of entrepreneurship.

Pink Door Decor is more than an online home accessories boutique. The company is rooted in a dream that we hope will change how some people still view the south. If you look up the symbolic meaning of the ivy, you will find several for the plant. Teri and I chose the ivy as part of our logo to represent growth. In honor of Dr. King, I would like to take a look at another symbolic meaning of the ivy...union.

Tomorrow, as we celebrate Dr. King's Birthday, let's stand united in eternal strength as the ivy, working together, making America a better place for our children.

Happy Birthday Dr. King!
